Lyle R. Moody, President

Born and raised in Honolulu, Lyle is the third generation of the Moody Family to administer the company.  Lyle is the R.M.E. and oversees the day to day operations.  Involved with the Boys Scouts of America as rank of Eagle Scout.  Graduated from Kalani High School in 1975.  Served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Seattle, Washington.  In 1980, he received a bachelors degree of Science in Building Construction Management, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.  Holds a State of Hawaii Contractor's License ABC, C-31, and C-48.

 


Mark A. Thomson, Treasurer

Mark first joined Walker-Moody Construction during the summer of 1983 as a field laborer while on summer break his sophomore year at the University of Utah.  Upon completion of his BS degree in Finance in 1985, he returned to take a position as an accounting clerk with Walker-Moody.  He has implemented and administered the modernization of the accounting and job costing systems.  He was named CFO in 1989 and oversees accounting, job costing and financial reporting. 

Born and raised in Utah, Mark is now a 17 year Kamaaina to the Hawaiian Islands, he and his wife Susan (Moody) are the proud parents of six children.  They enjoy an active lifestyle, including running, hiking, surfing, and service in their Church on the North Shore of Oahu.


 


Carl S. Higa, Project Manager

Carl became a Walker-Moody Construction employee in 1975.  Currently acts as the Metal Building Manager, an Estimator, an Architect, a Project Manager, a CQC Project Manager, a CQC Alternate Representative, and as a CQC Assistant Representative.  Holds a State of Hawaii Professional Architect license, and holds a CQC certification issued through the Corps of Engineers.  Was born and raised in Honolulu.  Graduate of Waipahu High School in 1964 and of the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1968.

 


Lyle Asaoka, Estimator

Lyle joined the Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. team as a estimator in 1994.  Graduate of Punahou High School in 1976, graduated with a BA in Sociology from UCLA, graduate of University of Hawaii Manoa in 1993 with a Bachelor's in Architecture.  Currently performs as a Project Manager and Estimator.  Also, holds a CQC certification issued through the Corps of Engineers.  Born and raised in Honolulu.  Loves to surf and being a father during his free time.

 

Dale Rowley, Purchasing Mgr/Safety Officer

Dale joined the Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd team in 1988 initially serving as an Estimator, Project Manager, and Safety Coordinator. In 1996, his estimating and project management responsibilities were reduced in favor of a shift to company-wide labor control, payroll, and job-cost administration. His duties include supervision and management of all labor control, job-cost budgeting, weekly payroll, and certified payroll administration and control. He also took on the responsibility of Purchasing Agent, overseeing material, equipment, and subcontract procurement. He is also the acting EEO Officer and S.B.A. Program Administrator, and still serves as the company Safety Coordinator since 1988.

 

Terry Wilson, AR, AP, Human Resources

Terry joined Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. in 1997 in the Reception and Accounting Department.  She is responsible for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Relations and other Administrative Duties.  She was born and raised in Kona, where she previously worked for the Third Circuit Court Judiciary Branch.

 

Kathleen Kelly, Construction Administrator

Kathleen joined Walker-Moody Construction in 2005. She assists the project managers with proposal preparation and project administration, designs and updates the company's website, and performs a variety of other tasks related to marketing and administration.  Kat came to Walker-Moody from an international environmental engineering firm.  She has been in construction management for over 15 years in a variety of locations, including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Denver.

 

Chevalier "Chevy" Place, Superintendent


Welcomed to Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. in 1980 as Heavy Equipment Operator and became a Foreman of all operators in charge of all site work.  Chevy has obtained a crane operating license to cover all cranes and also holds a CDL.  He graduated from Waianae High School in 1974.  Today he is a Superintendent on construction projects and is in charge of our sealcoating installations.

 

Severino Prieto, Jr., Superintendent/CQC


Initially hired in 1969 as a laborer, Junior then soon thereafter concentrated his focus on the carpenter trade specializing in concrete and masonry construction.  His adept ability for layout and resource management coupled with quality work made him a solid candidate for foreman.  As foreman, Junior has overseen successful completion of an array of projects ranging from substations to high rises.  His current position with Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. is that of superintendent.  Junior’s knowledge and dedication to safety, quality control, and productivity has made him a valuable component of Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd.’s work force for over thirty years.

 

Michael Arakaki, ASE Mechanic,

State of Hawaii D.O.T. Vehicle Inspector


Mike became a Walker-Moody Construction Co., Ltd. employee in 1987.  He is a graduate of Aiea High School in 1966 and attended New York Tech. studying electronics, and Leeward Community College studying pre-calculus and art.  Mike completed an Automotive Apprenticeship Program in 1974 at Hilo Community College.  He owned his own automotive and equipment repair business from 1976 to 1987.  He has been a State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Inspection for 18 years.  He's also been a State of Hawaii Registered Mechanic for 27 years.
